Since 1943, at INSTALAZA, we have been working toward a clear goal: to develop defense technology solutions in Spain that meet the highest standards, supported by the talent of a team of highly qualified professionals. Today we are taking another step forward with the unveiling of the Alcotán MRM (Medium-Range Missile), a solution that is currently the 100% Spanish missile project closest to becoming a fully operational product and entering service. During tests conducted at the firing range, the Alcotán MRM has demonstrated the ability to consistently hit targets located nearly 1.5 kilometers away, thereby validating the expected performance within its intended range of operation.

The weapon has been designed as a lightweight, shoulder-launched missile with a “fire-and-forget” architecture, intended to provide high tactical mobility to light units. The system employs dual initial and terminal guidance to hit targets, based on infrared and electro-optical technology, with an estimated range of between 1.5 and 2 kilometers. It is a system developed entirely in-house by the company, with no critical dependencies on third parties.

You can find us in Toledo on September 30 and October 1 at the IX 2E+I Ejército 35 Forum, where we will showcase the Alcotán MRM, among other solutions.
