The only mechano-electronic hand grenade in the world, designed and manufactured by INSTALAZA, incorporates advanced technology to generate its own power, without the need for batteries. This innovative design, together with its out-of-line detonator, makes it one of the safest grenades on the market during transport, storage, and handling.
The ALHAMBRA D/O (M2) is a dual-purpose grenade, suitable for both defensive and offensive use, simplifying logistics by enabling a single solution to be adapted to different operational scenarios. Supplied in a defensive configuration, it converts quickly to an offensive role by removing its fragmentation jacket, which contains 3,500 hardened steel spheres, providing maximum flexibility in combat.
Its electronic fuze allows 100% of units to be verified twice during the manufacturing process, resulting in a reliability of 99.91% (95% confidence level according to Fisher–Snedecor). It also requires no maintenance and offers a service life of over 10 years.
For training purposes, both the ALHAMBRA D/O‑EJ with a small spotting charge, and the ALHAMBRA D/O-IN (M2) completely inert version are available.
